I have an iphone that I bought from a friend. It's having issues and I need to get it fixed. It doesn't always respond to my touch or clicks other apps that I didn't click on. When I went to enter the serial number it says that a replacement phone was sent for this phone. What does that mean? Can I still get the phone fixed?

It means that your friend sold you an iPhone that was replaced with another phone by Apple. Apple typically only does this when it can't repair the phone. I suggest that you return this phone to your friend for a refund.
It means that phone was supposed to be sent in to Apple as it was replaced with another one.
Your friend clearly did not uphold his side of the service replacement deal, and that phone is not eligible for warranty service.
Apple will not touch that iPhone.
Your friend basically defrauded Apple by receiving a replacement phone, but not sending in the one being replaced.
The police may not be of much help because they probably will consider it a civil issue. Your other option is to sue your "friend" in small claims court. And maybe you should not be friends with that person any more.
Give the iPhone to the police and file a report. Your friend defrauded Apple and you.
My "friend" won't give me a refund. Is there anything I can do? Should I return the iphone to apple?. I want to do that right thing here.
