Can anyone help me understand how to fix this error:
There was an error preparing the Time Machine backup disk “Seagate 1TB Slim”.
The disk is already reverting
I am not very technical when it comes to the OS but I can follow directions on how to change settings as needed. I have tried googling this error and can't find anything that I understand or that mentions 'reverting'

Well, several people gave up after two weeks & reformatted the drive & started all over, I'm surmising without knowing for certain, that those excruciating cases would never have finished.

Did you encrypt or un-encrypt the Disk recently?
Yes, it is currently encrypted, due to some other error message I was getting when it was unencrypted......do you suggest I turn it back off?
Yes, but I fear you'll have to wait for it to be done doing what it's doing. :(
I've seen it take 2 weeks!
Ohhh....so it will eventually stop 'reverting'? Do you know what is? I think tis been at least a week or so already
