Place the cursor toward the upper left of your screen and tap the circular green button.

The menu bar for iTunes is where the Mac's menu bar always is displayed.
Thanks for trying, but, sorry, no. I assume you mean the full screen button; that doesn't solve the problem. Is there a menu bar in iTunes 12? I simply cannot find away to get it.
Thank you! (It's not where the separate iTunes menu used to be!) After restarting, then quitting and reloading iTunes several times, at last I got the menu at the top of the screen, as you said, replacing the usual Mac menu. The word iTunes had been appearing there, but with the usual Mac menu. Problem now solved; if it disappears again, I know where it should be, thanks!
