static on phone call on iphone Xs and Mazada Cx 5

My old iphone worked great. I got a new iphone Xs and calls in the car only are horrible. Static, popping so much that I can not hear the other person. Apparently they can hear me fine. We have tried a new iphone and the issue persists. It has the newest upgrade. My husband's iphone has the same issue only in the Mazada. Works fine on his car using car play or using headphones. I have a $1000 phone that I can't make phone calls with!

iPhone 13 pro/pro max call quality issues Anybody else experiencing call quality issues on the iPhone 13 pro and pro max? All I hear is background noise if someone is on the road and not the person speaking. Seems to be an issue with noise cancellation. The quality of the call also sounds extremely “tinny” like they’re speaking through a can. Third iPhone and they are all the same. I imagine this is a fault which Apple needs to review.
