my new usb apple keyboard wont work with mojave

I updated to Mojave and now my new USB apple keyboard won’t work.

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.14

Have a read through this Apple article, it may help.

If you can try the keyboard on another computer that might help in narrowing down the issue also, it’s just possible you have a faulty new unit.

In addition to SiHancox answer: sometimes it is necessary to unplug your Mac, wait a while and plug in again
