Does error 14 means my iphone had a hardware problem

I already went to Apple Service Center. They said they can’t repair my iphone due to hardware problem and they can’t rectify what is the problem with it. I have tried also to update and restore in a different pc but still it cannot recover. It keeps still in recovery mode. What should i do now? Apple service center ask me to purchase new phone.. Iphone as we know is not a cheap mobile phone that we can change at anytime... huh!! I am so stress and feeling so depress with the answer given to me...

Do you have a different USB-Lightning to try the restore with? Error 14 tends to relate to USB related issues, including, but not limited to, the use of non-MFi certified cables.
