Time machine backup is not getting completed in my new MacBookAir

I've purchased a MacBookAir. Earlier I was using a MacBookPro and regularly taking backup using Seagate Backup Plus. In the new mac the Time Machine is always showing in progress even after 12-13 hrs

Read If Time Machine is slow on Mac. It's not at all unusual for the first backup to take a long time.
