Have you tried clicking the "gear" icon and choosing 'Whole Words'?

You were right. This is easy to miss. It should be default.
One more question reguarding SEARCH.
While using categories which are collapsed, Numbers cannot find the search.
One has to expand all categories ? if I have 10 sheets, can I expand the categories all at one click ?
Hi Bomiboll,
I started to type a reply, then I deleted it.

Type the table name in a spare cell in each table. (You could add another Header Row to make a spare row).

I think it's the nicest you'll find.
Find, in Numbers, will not search text boxes, sheet names or table names, but it will search table cells.

I tested with Excel. There is no such issue there.
If I search 4 it will find 4 and not 34 or 45 etc
Do you mean Smart Categories in tables (not sheets)? I don't know of a way to expand them in 10 tables at once.
