iPhone XR overheating

My iPhone XR overheats while browsing (sometimes, I'm not able to identify patterns) and watching YouTube/Twitch via 3/4G. Signal is stable - 3-4 divisions in most cases.

I do not have such a problem via Wi-Fi.

My phone heats in bottom part (both sides). Display becomes especially hot, back side and frames - less.

I noticed this problem about a month ago (maybe a little bit earlier). I didn't have any problems during november - january for sure.

Unfortunatelly, I don't have any backup for some reasons. So i can't restorе device to factory settings. Also i can't roll back to the previous iOS version.

My current iOS version is 12.2 (16E227).

What can i do in this situation? Should I go to a service center (located in neighboring country)?

iPhone XR, iOS 12

The problem is I always have different failure with backup on my notebook (not mac). Either while making backup, or while backuping.

Nevertheless, I restored my iPhone and it helped. No overheating now. Also battery started to work longer. So it is only a soft problem, I hope)

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, since your iPhone is still covered by warranty, make an appointment at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider and have it inspected: Apple – Location Selector

No backup? (for some reason!?!?) Thats not recommended. I suggest that you perform that procedure on a regular basis, at least once a week. Remember that No backup = No recovery. What if your iphone suddendly stops working? How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch – Apple Support
