Safari inspector Network tab not recording document requests when Preserve Log is enabled

I am trying to view document requests, specifically redirects, with Safari's network inspector. It seems as though document requests, for some reason, are not shown/recorded when "Preserve Log" is enabled. If I disabled "Preserve Log" I can see the document request, but that of course only shows the destination document and not any prior redirects. Is there something I am missing or is this a bug in Safari?
