Keeping Workout display open while using another app

I use Workout and the aaptiv app at the same time. I used to be able to swipe back and forth between the 2 displays but I usually want the Workout display showing. I updated the Watch OS today and maybe it’s a coincidence, but the swipe didn’t work and display always defaulted to the aaptiv app. To see the Workout app, I had to stop and tap “all apps”, scroll to Workout and open it. However, after a few seconds, display went back to aaptiv app. Does anyone know how I can keep the Workout app open on the display?
