Why will the subject/heading in an email not allow U/B everything else appears in the black bar (select, paste, insert etc) but not the bold option? Please help

as I said on some devices or computers the subject line is bold until it’s been read.
its just not possible to do this on any email system
If you want it to stand out you can decorate it with some emojis.

unread email subject lines are bold on some other devices, so it’s deemed unnecessary.
you can alter the text in the body by selecting.
The subject line in gmail is the heading. If you double tap any text it will go blue and a black bar appears with options to CUT, PASTE, italics, underline bold etc. This works within the body of the email, the b/u/i always appears but I cannot get it in the heading where I would like it to be, to make the subject stand out . It seems odd that you can underline or embolden within the email but not the heading. I wish I knew how to do this

What I had in mind was writing to Water Company, Bank or similar and wanted to make the subject Bold as I have done here, when I had a laptop it was easy, but now I just have iphone8 I can only do this within the body of the email. It seems odd but I suppose I ought to tell the designers because I think Bold is most useful in headings
why cant I underline or make bold the subject heading in an email but I can within the text of the email?
