How do I record the Wifi password being entered in?

I want to record the wifi password being entered in on my ipad 4th gen. I know how to do it on a MacBook Pro but how exactly do I go about doing it on an iPad with system iOs 10.3.3? Is there an app that I would need to download? I want it stored in a secure location that only I can see it. Please help me. Thanks.

If you do a search in the App Store, you can find password storage apps. I don't use one. If you get locked out of your iPad, you can't access these apps, and if the app developer decides to stop supporting the app, your valuable passwords wind up out of reach. This happened a couple years ago and caused a lot of people angst.

Instead, I have a little book where I do things a bit old fashioned and I write the passwords for everything down in that book and the book is locked in a place where no one but me can access it. I refuse to have to worry about important data in an app, which I could lose access to.

Again, if you want an app, just search for password apps in the app store. I'm sure you can find one that meets your needs.
