My lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter only works for media. During a phone call, it does not recognize the audio output. I have tried multiple different headphones with/without mic. I’ve rebooted my device. Any ideas how to fix it?

there is no std for mic and buttons in the 3.5mm std. so different headset makers handle it diffcerent so only apple made headset or headsets which claim compatability would work
what if you disable speaker phone `?
Speaker is off by default. I tried both speaker on and off. I never heard sound through headphones.

was talking about the headsets not the converter
I am using official apple headphones too. Everything Apple. Still, call does not go to headphones. Music works correctly.
