My boyfriend just received a so called alert on his phone and closed the browser after discovering on this thread that this is malware. Seems to be still circulating so be on your toes folks.

Such popup messages are scams. Always.
Close the offending tab.

There was no Trojan sent. This is a popup that comes from a website and there is not truth to it. After he closes Safari, he needs to go to Settings>Safari, and Clear History and Website data and just avoid the website it came from. It is a javascript.
Obviously yes but this Trojan was sent to him innocently enough from his mom regarding a news related article from Twitter. Smh
There are no viruses that affect Mac OS and no one can know what is on your Mac, not even Apple. It's a scam. What difference who sent it?
