IOS 12.2 bug

I recently restored my phone and as a result it updated to iOS 12.2 and now none of my Apple Pay cards work on my phone, they work just fine on my watch though. I tried to reboot the phone multiple times and nothing has happened. It still says that I need to update to the latest version of iOS in order to be able to use Apple Pay. Kinda stuck and confused any ideas?

Don’t worry about restoring anymore. If you try a few other simpler steps first might help resolve perhaps or at least trouble shoot.


go to settings > search Wallet & Apple Pay > select to open > check over the details


reset network settings. Probably not worth the trouble though.


next toggle on and off airplane mode.


next toggle on and off wifi


next toggle off then on mobile data


open up Apple Pay and assess the situation, if no change. Try hard reset phone (hold vol down and off button till Apple symbol displays and release).


open up Apple Pay and check again the situation.


All else fails contact Apple support.

Check out this thread, it might have some answers. It’s sounding like possibly there is a link to Apple id’s??


You havent by chance used anyone else’s Apple ID to log into your phone before the issue started or logged out with your Apple ID ?


apple ID issues are pretty complicated and a Apple support tech would be best one to determine if it requires escalating for you.
