My mac asks me to update Apple ID settings

I enter my information and sign in like it asks me to, in but it still asks me for this. How do I remedy this?

Mac mini, macOS 10.13

Some people have fixed this by signing out of System Preferences/iCloud and then signing back in as the screen shot suggests.
