Granting photo permission to apps on my iPhone X
Where do I find this now? Seems to have changed.
iPhone X, iOS 12

Granting permissions is Settings>Privacy, tap each to see which third party app has been granted access.
When you first setup a third party app it usually asks for access, if it was granted then you have the option at a later date to change that under the Privacy section (or to turn it on if you first declined).
Yes, I know that's how to see what's already been granted access - but recently I could not find the app, I had already granted permission to access my photos long ago, listed there anymore.
I've since had to go to the app, try to access a photo and I was asked then if I wanted to grant access permission - which I had done long ago. I answered yes, again, and now it shows up again in the Settings>Privacy area. Something caused the setting to turn off without my knowledge, since I did not turn it off.
So I guess I answered my own question, sorta, but not why or how that happened? Thanks anyway for your reply ;^)
Could an update to either the app or iOS have triggered the apparent “Reset” with respect to permissions, I’ve experienced similar with regards to other settings.
At least it defaulted in the correct way, it asked you to opt in again!
Just keep an eye on it and if it keeps happening delete the app, reboot and re-download again, that might clear out any corrupted support files.
