How to uninstall rapportd
I just discovered that this application was downloaded on to my Mac Book Pro without my consent! Now I cannot remove/uninstall/ or delete because it is "open". I cannot even see it to close it! What do I do?

rapportd is a built-in daemon that handles "Handoff" between a Mac and an iPhone.
Not that it has nothing to do with IBM Trusteer's Rapport.
If you have things like com.trusteer.rapport.rapportd.plist in your LaunchAgents folder or com.trusteer.rooks.rooksd.plist in your LaunchDaemons folder, then you have installed Trusteer Rapport. You would normally download it from your Bank. That download should have come with an uninstaller as leroydouglas pointed out.

I suspect you have installed adware/malware. Try running this trusted utility https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/
See if that works for you.
rapportd is the dameon that runs the Trusteer Rapport
programming. It’s a bit of programming (program module) from IBM that is
used by banks and monetary foundations to help secure your internet
keeping money exercises.
It can be manually removed with some effort.
If you Find and open the .dmg file from which Rapport was initially installed.
The .dmg file ought to contain a uninstallation application.

Good computing Orni ! I am glad to hear this solved your problem.
Can you share details on how you found the uninstaller? I have the same issue.
Meant to say, "Note that is has nothing to do with…"
Also, the handoff daemon is in /usr/libexec/. Trusteer Rapport doesn't put anything there.
Thank-you! I found the uninstaller and removed the program.
