Erase disc using macOS extended journaled.

I tried to erase my drive choosing Format: APFS, but unfortunately I should choose macOS extended journaled. I tried to do the procedure from the beginning but unfortunately there is no choice anymore of macOS. How I will erase it using the format macOS? I tried but at the format appears only APFS

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.13

Article above states: "Format: APFS or macOS Extended (Journaled) *as recommended* by Disk Utility" Article above states: "Format: APFS or Mac OS Extended (Journaled), as recommended by Disk Utility" However, Disk Utility app does not ever "recommend" anything, nor is the word mentioned in Disk Utility so it is completely confusing what is meant? How does one interpret a recommendation from "Disk Utility" when initializing a new drive? Can we get an explicit answer as to whether an external hard disk drive not used for Time Machine should be formatted HFS+ or APFS please?

Moving on at the installation, Installing the Mac OS X Lion appears the following message:

This item is temporarily unavailable.

Please try again later.

What I should do?

*I have been connected to WiFi.

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

In Disk Utility, make sure "Show All Devices" is selected in "View" and select the top level of the drive.

I can connect it via ethernet. I have connected the cable, from where I will choose connection via ethernet?

Only appears the WiFi selection
