Printer not printing in colour from desktop

I have a desktop iMac using macOS Mojave. My new Epson photo printer is only printing in black and white and although I have checked preferences in every aspect I can think of on the desktop, I cannot rectify the difficulty. Has anyone experience of this and of a possible answer please?

Did you verify at the Epson support site that your new printer is using the very latest print driver that supports macOS Mojave?
