How to fix interalcing issue in FCPX

Hi Apple Support Communities,

I'm currently using FCPX (10.4.6) and having issues with interlaced footage that was initially imported and edited in FCP7. I wanted to work on this project in FCPX and I have successfully migrated the FCP7 project to FCPX using XML via 'SendToX' App. After relinking all the RAW footage and cleaning up the editing timeline, the interlacing issue is still visible even tho the 'Deinterlace' and 'Field Dominance Override' in the Settings under Inspector weren't working to match the sharp footage exported from Adobe Premiere as tested separately. Please see below for more info on the footage setting from both FCP7 and FCPX.

In FCPX, I intentionally set the resolution to 854x480 for different resolution output reason. In Premiere, the footage reads as 'Lower Field First' where I set it to 'Progressive' and it turns out great, but I'm not sure why this same step wouldn't solve the interlacing in FCPX.

Below are image comparisons between the color corrected V.S. final export from FCPX.

Above image is color corrected as in 'Lower Field First'.

Above image is exported from FCPX with 'Deinterlace' turned on and set the Field Dominance Override to 'Progressive'. I've noticed that video exported from FCPX is showing little softness around the edge of the talents.

But then I set to 'No Field (Progressive Scan) in Premiere and it looks great, but I couldn't find this same step in FCPX or match it as good as it looks from Premiere.

Above image is from Premiere with 'Progressive' Field Dominance'.

How do I match the same step as in Premiere for FCPX?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thank you
