Delete reachable phone number

I recently changed my phone number. My old number is still under reachable for iMessage and FaceTime. I have tried removing it and can’t. I also found another solution that supposedly worked for someone else. So I tried changing my Apple ID password. Still nothing. I need this number removed from reachable. I have removed it everywhere I can think of and updated my new phone number. Help!!
