IPad Pro dictation

I just got a new iPad Pro (12.2 iOS) with keyboard folio and I’ve noticed that when using the Messages app you cannot use dictation without opening the full keyboard on the screen. Is there a way to place a shortcut similar to that drawing button when using the pen in the bottom right. Thanks,
