APPLE CARE free for 60 days?

Me and my friend purchased IPHONE XS MAX last week in Dubai and I just noticed yesterday in his phone's settings, that Applecare+ coverage is available on his phone for about 57 days but not on my phone even though we did not purchase for Apple care at all. How is it possible that mine doesn't have?
