I don't know where you think it's been mentioned, but iPad and iPhone have never had international warranty. If you buy it in the US and you have an issue, it's highly likely you will be denied service in Bahrain. Any savings you may realize by purchasing it in the US will evaporate and then some if you have to bring it back to the US for service. And Apple does NOT accept international shipment. So you can't just ship it to Apple.

NO IT'S NOT. I've been on this forum for over a decade. Many people have come here and argued with us saying we are wrong about the International Warranty. Then they come back upset because they were denied warranty in their country. We are giving the best advice we can. It's your money and you can spend it any way you want. Just don't come back here upset if you buy your iPad in the US and you are denied Warranty coverage in your country.

Here are the warranty terms (this link is for the US warranty for iPad which would be applicable since you are buying it in the US):

Apple One (1) Year Limited Warranty

Note this:

IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE, iPAD, APPLE TV and HOMEPOD SERVICE.

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and HomePod to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

And:

If you seek service in a country that is not the original country of purchase, you will comply with all applicable import and export laws and regulations and be responsible for all custom duties, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and charges.

The point is:

You are ignoring the most important sentence in that warranty:

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and HomePod to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

That is the way the legal department words it so Apple can deny warranty service if they deem it necessary. They may provide service, but you may have to pay to ship it, taxes, import duties, etc.

If a problem arises, that one word ("may") means you will not have a valid legal argument if something goes wrong with your device and Apple refuses to fix it for free.
