While TurboTax was back on a Mac for a few months, Malwarebytes quarantined it. It was laying in the quarantine for quite some time. With currently need for TurboTax, I have removed it.
Why is TurboTax Seen as Malware?
It is common software; one that was in usage by many for the past few months. The past few months was Tax Season.

Today, I restored my Mac from a Time Machine Backup that is about a month-and-a-half old.
I opened Malwarebytes today and forgot it was never removed from its quarantine prior to the Time Machine’s Creation.
Contacting Intuit, they said it was a known compatibility issue, and to try and run it only in Windows.
So, I used a Virtual Machine.

I have no problems running it. Either Deluxe or Premier downloaded from Intuit. As you were told, contact Malwarebytes to find the issue.
I have many versions of Turbotax on my computer for many years back, including this year. Malwarebytes has never identified it as Malware or quarantined it. Not sure why this is happening to you.
