I'm getting a message on my iPhone that my apple id is being used to sign in to a device in Japan, I am not in Japan What should I do

Did the message addresses you with your full name?
If not, it's a scam/phishing attempt.
If you feel your account has been compromised, do not click on any links in the message you may have received and instead immediately change your password at https://appleid.apple.com/
I'd highly recommend activating 2-Factor Authentication to make it impossible for someone to login to your Apple Account without validating it against one of your approved devices.
