line in/aux input on 2017 MacBook Pro(MBP)...new to MAC user

I am a DJ and a new MAC user and I am using a mixer with DVS interface and I am trying to see if there is an option for this MAC to recognize a "line in/aux"? I only see "internal mic" for input in system properties>sound tab along with the DVS interface. I only see "internal output" for output on same tab. Prior versions had a dropdown for "internal input" but I do not have on this MBP. I need so I can record my sets. My setup works to play out but I cannot record without the "line in"

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.14

In common with recent Macs this model has no line input. The only input is for the microphone on a headset, not a separate external mic. You will need an analogue to USB interface: unfortunately most of these are rather expensive these days though the Griffin iMic (which has a line input) may be adequate. The best place to ask about this is the GarageBand forum - there are posters there with a knowledge of this.
