Since I updated my OS to Mojave my computer keeps crashing. It never crashed before. Any suggestions

I held off updating my OS thinking that I would allow potential teething problems to be ironed out before installing it, which I did recently. It now crashes, the screen freezes and I have to switch it off completely before restarting. It crashes with a variety of applications open and sometimes when no applications are running when I have left it in sleep mode. My computer has NEVER crashed before. Help please!

Please run Etrecheck and post its report here.

Usually this is because of some old software not playing nice with the new OS. The report may help us help you figure out what it may be.

Thank you so much for the heads up on Etrecheck. Problem appears to have been resolved and I've experienced no further crashes. It has also encouraged me to clear out some old, unused programs and have a general Spring clean. Much appreciated.
