iPhone - Safari - Google search not working

When I open Safari and I type something in the bar to search (default search set to Google), it just keeps trying, but never pulls up any results. If I go into settings and change the search engine to any other search provider it works fine.

Google for Safari on iOS I’m having a very recent issue with Google search and I’m not sure if it’s a Google issue or a Safari issue. As of yesterday if I launch Safari and type something into Google and hit search, nothing happens. I can hit it repeatedly and nothing happens. If I hit the little magnifying glass next to the search bar, it makes my keyboard minimize and then I see that the “back” arrow to go back a page is blue indicating I can go back one page. I hit it, and whatever I typed into the search bar is still there, but essentially nothing happens. But if I THEN hit the magnifying glass, it will search what I typed in. I’m completely at a loss and have no idea why this started to happen. Anyone else experiencing this or have any suggestions? It’s for an iPhone XS Max

When using chrome and select/look up text to search, goes to Safari Whenever I am using the chrome browser within the iOS operating system, and I select text to look up, instead of searching within chrome, I am taken to a small intermediate search box. This generally always says "no contents found". When I select "search web" in that box, it always takes me to search results in Safari. If I wanna go back to Chrome, I need to click a few more buttons to get it to search in the right place. This happens every time when using both my iPhone, and my mini iPad, both using the most current iOS, and both the most recent model type. This has been happening for years and I always assumed it was simply a decision on Apple's part to preference safari over chrome. Is this the case? Or am I permitted to use Chrome within chrome? Thank you

iPadOS 15 Google search not working in Safari On 9/30/21 late in the day I noticed that the Google Search home page in Safari will not load the keyboard. I’ve tried clearing the History & Web Site data in settings as well as a hard reboot but the problem continues. I am using iPadOS 15.0 on an iPad (7th generation). I have tried MS Edge and Chome browsers and the page loads correctly with keyboard as expected. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Thanks

The simple fact that the same process works when other search engines are selected suggests the problem is likely to be outside your device. Whether that is something broken in the internet route, or Google just doesn’t like you... is open to speculation.
