files/folders in my Mac accidentally moved to my icloud

Is it possible to restore all files and folders that were moved from my Mac to icloud back to my Mac? I recently purchased additional storage space on icloud and I must have clicked something incorrectly that zapped everything on my desktop and in my laptop to icloud. I did not intend that to happen. I wish to keep all the files and folders I had on my laptop, on my laptop.
