Emails from Apple

How can I know that emails I receive from Apple are not spam? I received and email requesting to verify my account within 24 hrs and when I press the icon it directed me to apple id page but I did’t continue. I suspected that might be a hacker.

That's an obvious phishing email (verify poor Engish ; iTunes/Apple knows your name so won't address you via your email address etc.).
