Apple Watch Series 4 battery issue

I recently upgraded from series 3 to series 4. I never had any issue with my old series 3, the battery used to last at-least a day, but now with Series 4 it’s couple of hours. My watch is full charged in the morning and by afternoon all the power is drained. First I restarted the watch, second I unpaired and paired it back again, third I swapped the watch with a new series 4 again hoping that the problem would be resolved. Even after swapping, the battery problem is not solved. I am repeating the whole process of resetting and repairing again in hope that the issue should be resolved. I assume that it’s a software issue like a bug or something. I am hoping that Apple should release the new update. My watch OS is always up to date OS 5.2

One step I would take is to determine if it's the Wi-Fi / Cellular / Bluetooth causing the power drain. You can do this by simply enabling Airplane mode and see how long the battery holds up that way. You can do this via the Control Center:

It sounds like you're saying that you physically exchanged the particular Watch 4 for a whole other unit? If that's so, and you're still having the same problem, and turning on Airplane mode on the Watch itself greatly increased the battery life then the most likely culprit is that your paired iPhone's bluetooth is not behaving well with the Watch 4. To test this out you'll want to turn off your iPhone's bluetooth under Settings > Bluetooth specifically (and not via the iPhone Control Center).

If so I'm guessing that your paired iPhone is either very out of date, or running beta iOS software. You want to make sure you are running a non-beta version of iOS 12.2 (the current released version).

If even this does not resolve it I would suggest testing your Apple Watch 4 out by pairing it with a friend's fully-up-to-date iOS 12.2 as I would suspect a hardware issue with your iPhone if iOS 12.2 does not resolve it.
