Battery life MacBook pro 2018 13 inch Question

Hi

I bought the mac 4 mouth ago, at the beginning the battery last 3 - 4 hour

After talking to the support I gave the mac to the lab there answer was everything is ok,

use the mac for several month so the battery will adjust.

Meanwhile 3 month as passed and the battery life improved to 5 -7 hours but still no 9 hour the spec said.

Day to day use I use safari and working with excel and word

Attach pic of system information

My question is what can I do in order to improve battery life

thanks

MacBook Pro 13”, macOS 10.14

This actually seems pretty good, for a single GPU Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655

The estimate of 9 hours is highly optimistic and depends on just about nothing running of any consequence with no graphics like safari and internet.

You can always Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

for resetting battery management.

And from >System Preferences>Energy Saver

Use the Energy Saver settings on your Mac - Apple Support

all these little things will make a difference in your battery life.

The estimates computer manufacturers give for battery life are based on something less than real world use. The closest I've ever come was about 85% of the claim Apple made for its early MacBook Air. To get close to the 9 hour estimate you'd have to use low impact applications - Microsoft products and Safari are not low impact.

Simple test: if your computer is relatively warm you are using low impact software and will get decent battery life. The hotter the computer gets the more energy is being used. Along with that check, keep the display dim and don't plug anything into any of the ports. Turn off BlueTooth and WiFi. Yeah, I get it, you probably aren't going to use the computer like that but that is how you'll get close to 9 hours. Six to seven is what I'd expect.
