i find the message effects annoying; mostly when I want to send a text I get kicked to the message effects. I have already turned on the Reduce Motion button but it doesn't help. Any ideas that will work? I have an iPhone 5s

Since the upgrade, whenever I text I get kicked to the message effects automatically. I have researched online to find the only solution available is the turn off the Reduce Motion. But that does nothing. No one that I text wants annoying messages that fill up the screen. We have limited time for this nonsense. I would like it to just go through as is without having to go to another screen and make multiple taps just to get the app to respond. This is non-responsiveness only happens with the message effects; nothing else. I want to just send the text like an adult. It would be nicer if it would send the text as is unless the user were to choose to go to a message effects choice, not have it just go there. It takes me longer to send a text than is necessary. So besides the Reduce Motion fix, what else is there?

Tap the blue arrow to send your message, not hold down on it so the effect page open up.

Never seen that page open up automatically, with any upgraded ios on an iphone 6S, X, XR or XS max.

I have an iPhone 5s and I use my gmail instead of the Apple services because I have had a gmail account for a long time and so have history with it. The buttons are green and not blue. And still there seems

that nothing removes this really annoying feature. It is childish and that is the nicest comment I can make about this feature. I have no plans to move my address book to safari so that is not an option. Imagine texting your friend about a serious matter and getting a response in a plethora of bubbles. It is hurtful. I have had to tap the arrow from a top down angle and mostly that works but not always. I want to stop this childish annoying feature. We The Users should have everything to say about frivolous upgrades like this one. I want to be able to disable or delete this feature. Are you listening, Apple? So I tried disabling but to no avail. I am beginning to think about going back to an Android. Sony Xperia is a wonderful phone with beautiful video capabilities and can hold an SD card. I have Apple for privacy but they don’t seem to be so responsive to

If you read the term of service when you sign up for this forum, you would know that there is no Apple here in these user to user technical forum. So NO Apple is not listening.

IF you don't know the different between tapping the green arrow to send a message and holding down on the green arrow to bring up the effects then I can't help you.

Not sure what your gmail account has anything to do with this.

If an iphone doesn't meet your needs, and this is the nicest comment I can think of, go buy another phone that isn't an iphone.

Message effects cannot be used with a text message (SMS), so if you are not using iMessage, you cannot access Message effects. Are you sure this is the screen you are seeing?
