Exporting | Title Field Default

Whenever I export a project from FCPX, and the export settings window pops up, the Title field always populates with "Big Idea 3 (Mar. 3/4, 2018)," which, as you may have gathered, is a project I completed over a year ago.

It doesn't matter what project I'm in. It doesn't matter what format I'm exporting to.

This started happening when I updated FCPX. (I'm on version 10.4.6).

Why does "Big Idea 3 (Mar. 3/4, 2018)" continue to haunt me every time I export? And how do I make it stop?

This is not normal. You should normally get the name of the project you're exporting in the export dialogue.

Are you making new projects by duplicating existing projects? Some people do that if they have recurring elements. Select the project in the browser and go to the Share inspector and see what it says there.

Aha! Guess I never realized that tab existed. 🙄 But that's exactly what I needed, thanks Tom.

Somehow "Big Idea 3 (Mar. 3/4, 2018)" had been set as the default title. Fixed!
