Traveling to another country using e-sim from home

Hi everyone, I’ve just found it lately that there’s this bug if you’re traveling to another country and have your e-sim from home coming with you then you add a “Physical” sim from foreign country into your phone as a temporary purpose. Once iphone asked you to select of which simcard you want to use as a primary, if you’re selecting e-sim then you are okay and can remove physical sim anytime, but if you’re selecting physical sim as a primary then on the way home you may found that all dial number went into wrong format and cause calling not to show correct contact name.

To fix this issue, you’ll have to get a physical sim from friend or family or anyone and put it into your phone, once it asks you to select primary then go ahead and select e-sim as a primary then just remove the sim. It will just simply work!!!

The issue here for iOS is that it detect new simcard and ask you to select primary, however, when removing the physical sim it doesn’t neither pick e-sim as a default instead nor ask to select primary so your phone stick with the primary of foreign country including dial format.

iPhone XS Max, iOS 12
