iCloud backup and Photos on iCloud

Hi! It's my first Iphone so a lot of things are new to me. My question concerns using iCloud in an optimal way. I paid for 50GB extra on iCloud to have all my photos there. They are still transfering (14% from yesterday) but I recognized that there is also Backup which takes up 16GB and it's mainly "Library of photos". Please find screenshots attached.

So my question is: are these photos duplicated? Is there any point in having Photos on iCloud if they are already in Backup?

Your photos will only be in one or the other, not both.

If iCloud Photo Library is enabled, your photos are NOT in any iCloud/iTunes backup.

Thank you. So what are these photos on backup (16GB of photos)? Should I turn off Photo Library in Backup?

The second screen shows your Backup (16GB) is separate from Photos (5.5GB). The colored bar at the top shows the same.

If you tap on the backup category, it should show what is in there in detail.
