Page Recent Tab for Ipad

Is there anyway I can delete the recent tab for pages on iPad it it really annoying?

iPad mini 4, iOS 12

You cannot eliminate the tab. But you're not required to use it.

If you don't care for it, use the "Browse" tab instead.
