Often when I drag a URL to the finder to create a bookmark (a "Web internet location" file), if my cursor happens to pass over any aliases, it will update the "Date Modified" of those aliases to be right now. This is a years-old issue. I assume it's a bug Apple has never gotten around to fixing, but maybe it's intentional for some reason?

I can't see how this could be intended behavior.
It might be a bug. I cannot reproduce it, though.
