phone screen white

Since updating to 12.2 my phone screen is completely white and then crashes. I can receive calls but cannot make them from the phone app- only from a message thread. Anyone have a solution to this?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 12

Use itunes to backup and restore. It will download a fresh copy of iOS.
