Hello,
I have just recently acquired an HP Pavilion laptop that has been restored to factory settings.I have installed itunes and when I have tried to burn a cd it shows an error code 0xC0AA0301.
Can anyone advise me how to fix this error please?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. When reinstalling right click on the downloaded setup file and use run as administrator. It may also help to temporarily disable any non-Microsoft anti-virus.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

I have tried that with no difference,just the same error code. The playlist is a combination of purchased and imported tracks and none of them have a cloud sign.

Try right-click > Burn Playlist to Disc from the playlist name in the sidebar over File > Burn Playlist to Disc. The file menu method seems to have been broken for some time. Might pay to test with some erasable discs first. Note you cannot burn content that is in the cloud or comes via an Apple Music subscription.
