I'm having issues when charging my phone using USB on my mack book pro. im using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) with mack OS Mojave. when i connect my iphone Xs Max to change to the USB on my mach book it get disconnect and connect ever 2 second.. it keeps on connecting and disconnecting. please advice how to fix this problem.

2014 should be no diiferent in port speed however—
try a different port

tried but still the same.. sometimes when I open iTunes it works.. and sometimes it doesn’t.. most of the time when I fold the Mac screen down without shutting down and it works too..
