Exercise ring on m iwatch

My exercise ring doesn’t record my outdoor walk on my IWatch. I walked 45 minutes today and it records that in my Outdoor Walk workout area but it doesn’t record it on my exercise ring. Why would that be? If I walk on my treadmill it recordsit on my exercise ring.

Your Watch uses a number of factors to calculate how much credit to give the exercise ring, such as arm movement, speed, and heart rate. (More info can be found here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204517)

If I had to guess, the activity you are doing isn’t enough to boost your heart rate enough for the Watch to count it as exercise credit.

Hope this helps you!
