I do not understand the message : " Do you want the application " rapportd " to accept incoming network connection ?

On my Mac (27-inch, Mid 2011, macOS High Sierra, Version 10.13.6) I received the message: "Do you want the application "rapportd" ... Clicking Deny may limit the application's behaviour. This settings can be changed in the Firewall pane of Security & Privacy preferences."

Should I click: "Deny" or "Allow" ?

I tested the Mac in Safe Boot and there was the Message: "Do you want the application "netbiosd" to accept incoming network connections ? Clicking..."

Should I click: "Deny" or "Allow" ?

( I received these Messages after disconnecting "Starting Internet Recovery .This may take a while" by pressing the power button. I tried to run an Apple Diagnostic Test and hit the Letter "d" after launch. But there was no Diagnostic Test, instead "Starting Internet Recovery" was opened. )

Your real problem is trying to use a Firewall for some purpose other than why it was designed.

It's not a Security feature. It's a network management feature. It's used to isolate parts of a network so only certain users or devices can access those areas.

You're using an iMac, so I assume it is behind a NAT router which isolates your Mac from the Internet. Nothing on the internet can see your Mac, so the built-in Application Firewall is completely useless.

If you want to micromanage every connection your Mac makes outbound, then you need to learn what every process on your Mac does so that you don't have to come here every time a new process decides to make a connection to its host.
