My charger won't fit into my phone

I have had my iPhone 7 for a year and a half and recently the charger has not been fitting into the charging port. I have tried to take out any dirt that might be inside but there doesn't appear to be any, yet the charger will only fit halfway into it. Is there anything that I could do to fix this?
