Prices won’t show up on iPhone XR?

Ever since I upgraded from a 6s to XR, prices in apps will not show up. The prices are listed as letters and numbers like some sort of function. This happens in many apps, so it makes me suspicious of a software issue. Anyone know how to fix this?

I attached a screenshot from a parking app I use. Ever since I’ve been having issues with the pricing, I have no idea how much I’m spending. I just have to check my bank account history to see, so it’s very inconvenient for me. Any suggestions are appreciated!
