downloading itunes music to a USB

I have recently signed up to a 3 month free trial of iTunes and would like to put some music from here onto a memory stick. Do I need to purchase them? I have tried converting the ones in my Library to MP3 but it will not allow me to do this.

Hello. Music from an Apple Music subscription is protected by DRM and cannot be downloaded onto unsupported devices and played from there.

If you want to play music on a memory stick you will need to purchase tracks from the iTunes Store or from other online music stores.
