I have tried all of the recommendations with the volume buttons and side button and my iphone X won't go on. It has been working fine for about 2 weeks.
Is there any other secret technique or do i just need to go to the Apple Store?

If you've already tried all the basic troubleshooting steps (restart, forced restart, etc) to no avail, I would have that iphone inspected at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider:
